My sound recording was very poor due to wind. My husband joined me on this nights walk to the marsh. There was rain north of the lake with no indication it would grow and spread south of the lake. Most storms stay north of the lake and miss our location. We live on the edge of the driftless area and the town we’re in resides in a little valley. I’m sure with the combination of the lake and valley it causes storms to go north or south of here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driftless_Area

Earlier in the day I spoted a toad I disturbed while watering the plants. I can hear them at night around here with their long calls.
