This evening I decided to run down to my listening spot. If you listen closely you can hear me trying not to breath too loudly in the beginning of the video. The recording definitely picked up a lot of noise pollution that I don’t recall hearing. There might be a third frog, but it is hard to tell with the Peepers being so loud. I have learned frogs don’t mind cars but loud trucks will make their calls slow or halt. One side of the marsh has mostly Spring Peppers and about 50ft away there are a few Northern Leopard Frogs calling. Every time I walk towards the Leopards calling they stop and seem to only start back up when I walk away. There are a few mixed in with the Peepers. The first time the frog calls stopped it was due to a truck that was nearby, the second time the calls slowed was due to a sudden drop in temperature. The wind was minimal but occasionally when I have been in this area the temperature suddenly drops.
